Elizabeth F. Mercedes graduated Cum Laude from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, and minors in History and Philosophy. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the Emory University School of Law. At Emory Law, she was accepted into the Transactional Law Certification Program which was comprised of a core set of curricula focused on finance, corporate and contract law. Ms. Mercedes was also a member and officer of the Latin American Law Students Association; a member of the Sports and Entertainment Law Association; and was selected to participate in an externship in the Coca-Cola Company’s legal department, where she assisted with regulatory matters.
After graduating from Emory Law, Ms. Mercedes pursued a litigation practice with a focus on commercial liability matters. Her practice areas include commercial litigation; construction defect matters; defamation; whistleblower liability; third- and first-party liability/property matters; and liability and property coverage issues. She is licensed to practice in Florida, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
