Our Firm

Mathison Whittles, LLP, is a full-service, transactional, litigation firm whose principals pride themselves on maintaining lasting client relationships, answering any client need and providing cost-effective legal services.

Founded in 2014, the Palm Beach Gardens firm was the brainchild of Steve Mathison and John Whittles, two Palm Beach County attorneys who had collaborated on many cases over the years. With Mathison Whittles, they created what had been largely missing from the local legal community – a law firm that married “big firm” ability with “small firm” flexibility.  

Steve had enjoyed a reputation as one of the area’s preeminent real estate and transactional attorneys, having closed multiple deals that reshaped the Palm Beach County landscape – landmark projects like The Gardens Mall, PGA Commons and the Esperante building.  

John, meanwhile, had worked for many years as a partner in one of the county’s premier litigation firms. There, he learned from Florida’s best trial lawyers how to effectively litigate the most complicated and high-profile of commercial litigation matters. 

As longtime Palm Beach County residents, Steve and John are personally committed to giving back to the community they call home.
